Alan Tudyk flying visit to Australia

Alan Tudyk has just been announced at a guest for next weekend’s Australian GenCon event in Brisbane, Australia. Due to filming issues, Battlestar Galactica guests James Callis and Jamie Bamber are unable to attend and a last minute guest booking was required.

On the plus side, Gen Con? Australia and Hub Productions have been working furiously to find replacements for the show. And replacements we have found in the appearance of two awesome guests namely Paul “Carson Beckett” McGillion from Stargate Atlantis and Alan “Wash” Tudyk from Serenity/Firefly.

Background:

Gen Con? is a gaming convention which started in the USA approximately 40 years ago in Lake Geneva as a meeting between friends to play games. Today there are Gen Con? events run throughout the world in Indianapolis (USA), California (USA), Paris (France), and the United Kingdom. Gen Con? conventions attract over 100,000 attendees world wide…

The convention’s focus is on the trade show aspect of the gaming industry and allows a wide range of gaming and related companies to show their wares to those in the industry as well as to the general public. Gen Con? Australia aims to bring a new look to the market of gaming in Australia and is encouraging friends, family, and gamers alike to come along and get involved in a new hobby which bridges the generation gap, and has the potential to bring families together in a fun and participative way.

We were just out at dinner for my mums birthday when my sister saw this guy. We both looked at him and steph said, “Em, its Simon from death at a funeral!” we stared at him for ages and we told mum but she didn’t reckon it was him. Anyway, we went to pay and he was sitting right there, mum said “girls I heard him, he’s totally Aussie” but I kept listening and I swear he wasn’t! we were leaving and steph and I were in a fit because we knew it was him and mum grabbed my hand and was like “Do you want me to go over and ask him whether its him or not” and I was like “yes!” and she was like “but you have to come with me!”. Anyway we didn’t end up going over but when we got home we looked him up and we found this site and we were right!!!!! OMG THIS IS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!
